Welcome ladies (and the occasional gent) to Closet Confidential! Thank you so much for following my closet and I on our journey though fashion, beauty, and my personal lifestyle. My name is Sarah Hott, and I currently reside with my hubby and our furry son in the V-A, baybay. But, pretty soon, we’re digging up our roots and replanting in sunny SoCal! All my fellow east coasters can understand the bone-chilling weather struggle is real! So, stay tuned for our cross-country road trip to our new home, soon. Side note: The trout trip posts will most likely be hilarious photographically, but Josh (the hubs), may want to shoot me because road trips and my ADD haven’t historically gotten along so well, haha! SOS!
I’ve always had a passion for anything fashion-related-I mean, we’re talking toddler fashion shows and tantrum when I wasn’t allowed to wear my thoughtfully curated outfits-way to be buzzkills, mom & dad! Along with fashion, my teachers and family noticed my knack for writing early on. It probably wasn’t until sixth grade when my English teacher wanted to submit my short-story before I finally had my aha moment and acknowledged my love affair with writing.
Fast forward to college (go JMU Dukes, baby!) where I graduated with a degree in English and went on to starting a career as a Marketer. I love marketing, don’t get me wrong, but I’d been ignoring the burning passion that had been silently spreading, flames burning bigger and brighter, until I finally couldn’t ignore the fact that my entire being was consumed with a desire to start a new life journey. I had to act on this feeling, and I had to act now. That raging fire in me was signaling me to pursue my passion for fashion and my love for writing. With Josh’s unrelenting support and my family’s encouragement, my blog baby was born, and boy does it feel GEWD!
Closet Confidential is a place where you’ll get cozy with my quirky, humorous-at times sarcastic, passionate, vulnerable, and loving sides. But, I also want this to be a pace where my followers feel the they can connect with myself and others; a place where we can all be inspired to try that fashion trend or to take that leap of faith and start your own adventure towards your passions. Ultimately, this space is where you’ll find my heart and soul.
We’re all beautiful and capable and Closet Confidential is here to set that record straight.
