For starters, I had SUCH a fun time shooting this look! Why? Because it actually felt more like spring, and I didn’t have to force a smile when in actuality I was miserable and cold, haha! I’m going to let you in on a little secret about bloggers, photoshoots sound so fun in theory, but in my experience, they inevitably happen to be scheduled on days experiencing record-breaking weather conditions-ie severe winds, flood warnings, extreme low temps, etc. So, resect to all my blogger babes. You guys are unsung heroes! But, enough complaining, beau I’m currently sitting on the deck, basking in the sun with three fur babies adorably sleeping at my feet. Life. Is. Good.

I’m hoping it’s safe to say that spring is in bloom and isn’t taking a vacation anytime soon (fingers crossed). I LOVE spring, because I feel like it’s my spirit season. Just as a blossoming flower, I too feel like I bud and bloom and hastily soak up the warmth and sunshine while shedding all semblance of winter-emotionally, mentally, and physically. Motivation returns with a vengeance, and my happiness soars almost as high as the hummingbirds that steal the sweet nectar of the wild flowers in the field. But, the flowers aren’t the only fresh things around, now that my soul’s battery has been recharged, there’s going to be more content, style, products, and girl time for my Closet Confidential girl gang!! “Yay-yeah!”(said with my Lil John/Ying Yang Twins impression)

In honor of all of this spring talk, I wanted give you guys an outfit that can easily breeze through spring with you. These wide leg pants are perfect for spring with their light material and versatility that allows you to pretty much match any top style or shoes with them. Since it wasn’t super warm, I opted for some fun booties when shooting this look. For the top, if you don’t have a front tie top, then stop reading and treat yo self, girl! They’re making a stance in pretty much every bloggers’ Instagram, because they’re the perfect staple piece that adds a little flare without overcomplicating a casual chic look. Dress up or down, business or casual with a front tie blouse. I love that the one I’m wearing has this slight flared sleeve to add an extra dose of drama. I often pair this with high waisted denim and a crossbody for an easy, errand-running look. As you’ve probably noticed, I’m wearing a lot of hats these days, and while I’d like to think it’s because I’m just so stylish, it probably has more to do with laziness and trying to stretch dry shampoo a wee bit too far, haha! Moral of the story: play with hats; don’t be afraid. I’ve seen vintage turban hats, straw hats, newsboy hats, etc. Pave your own hat path this season, because I can assure you that you can’t really go wrong and will probably have your friends thinking that you’re a trendsetter or fashionista for it. My accessories are really interchangeable, but since I was feeling kind of gypsy/boho, I went with dainty layering pieces that upheld the vibe.

But again, Play with fashion; Have fun with it, and put the “I” in fashion.

Fashion is testing the boundaries, styling for your body and your personality-trends shmends; they come and go, so be your own fashion staple, girl. You’ve got this.

You know the routine-below you can shop my look, and since I like options, I’ve also linked similar items so that you can play with slightly different patterns and styles, or maybe it’ll inspire an even better look! As always, I love hanging out with you guys, and if you want to see or read about something in particular, shoot me a message. I love all of the feedback! I have LOTS of content coming for ya, so we might be getting real cozy, you and I, more than we already are. There’s just so much I want to share and so little time! So, keep an eye out for more closet hangouts in the near future. Have a fabulous rest of your weekend, and I look forward to our next girl gang hang (so cheesy, but I like that phrase, ok?!)!

XO,

Sarah
